Did you know…New Jersey was first inhabited by Native Americans for more than 2800 years, the first European settlements in the area were established by the Swedes and Dutch in the early 1600s. Later seized by the English it was given the name Province of New Jersey – the name taken from the largest of the English Channel Islands, Jersey.

New Jersey was also an important site during the American Revolutionary war where several decisive battles were fought. The winter quarters of the revolutionary army were established twice by George Washington in Morristown, which was the military capital of the revolution.

Know as the Garden State, New Jersey is home to more than 9,800 farms, beautiful beaches – the Jersey Shore, parks and forest, casinos, theaters, concert halls, wineries, museums, skiing and shopping!
